I recently got connected with the wonderful folks at Ipe Clothing, a clothing brand based in LA specializing in lifestyle products for the socially conscious. These images were made to promote their upcoming 1521 shirt which commemorates the defeat of Ferdinand Magellan at the hands of Datu Lapu Lapu in Mactan, Philippines.
My dear friend and mentor Dr. Allyson Tintiangco-Cubales took on the role as model for the day. Check her incredible work out through Pin@y Educational Partnerships, I-Seeed, Roses in Concrete Community School, or check out one of her classes at San Francisco State University.
Perhaps weddings are one of the most challenging yet rewarding kinds of work a photographer can engage in. It was quite an honor when someone like Grace, a friend and artist that I admire, entrusted me with photographing their celebration...even though Grace provided me with the most healthly confusing conversation about how she wanted me to conduct myself as the photographer at her wedding. But we love her to death and back.
Shout out to Geraldine Punzalan for providing the awesome work as my co-shooter that day.
I've been spending quite a bit of time walking around the neighborhood thanks to the Fitbit I recently purchased. If there's anything I noticed in the relatively quiet suburban Bay Area neighborhoods that I reside in, which is Daly City and San Leandro, it's that there is no shortage of color and history.
Welcome to my blog!. This is a space I'll be updating regularly with images from a variety of different projects. Please feel free to drop me a line or leave a question or comment!
